Welcome to our library —

Our Lady of Lourdes Library serves the entire school community with an excess of 10,000 items available for checkout.

Students in grades K-5 visit the library on a weekly basis to explore a variety of reading materials. Library staff and teachers assist students with their selections. The middle school students visit the library during their study halls and scheduled class time.


Our Lady of Lourdes Library (Follett Destiny)

Students can view contents of Our Lady of Lourdes library card catalog using Follett Destiny Library Manager software. This web-based software provides users of our library access to information about the materials in the library from any school computer.

As part of Follett Destiny, we have an enriched content subscription of TitlePeek. Each search result displays the book cover along with varied additional content such as the title profile, table of contents, brief summary, author notes, first chapter or excerpt, published reviews and more.

Library Committee
The library is managed by the library committee, which is comprised of parents and faculty. The library volunteers perform book selection, cataloging, book repair, circulation, administrative tasks along with staffing the library.

Bookmark Contest

Prizes are awarded each month during the school year to students in grades K-2, 3-5 and 6-8 for the best bookmarks entered into the Book Review Contest as determined by members of the library committee.

The winning bookmarks are displayed near the library and copies of the winning bookmarks are made available for all students in the library.

Students, share your love of reading or a favorite book, but submitting a bookmark! Students may submit multiple entries.

Contest Criteria:

  • Bookmark must include Book Title & Author.
  • Bookmarks can include drawings created with pencil, crayon, markers or created using a computer.
  • All art work must be original.
  • Remember to include your name.
  • Other Suggestions:
    • Why do you like this book?
    • How would you rate this book?
    • Who would you recommend this book to (ages, girl/boy)?


Book donations are always appreciated. Each new or gently used book donated to the library has a nameplate added to the book to acknowledge the donor.
If a book is donated and we have adequate copies in the library, we offer these to the teachers for use in their classroom libraries. Any books not used in the library or classroom are donated to local charities (St.Vincent de Paul, Christian Outreach Center, Juvenile Prison Ministries or Goodwill).
